Mice lacking T-cell and B-cell function and having decreased NK activity, complement activity, and macrophage function
NOD/ShiJic-scid Jcl
Origin
The NOD/ShiJic-scid mouse strain was established by the 10-generation progeny formation the of scid (Prkdcscid) mutant gene in the C.B-17-scid strain, found by Dr. Melvin J. Bosma at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in 1983 in NOD/Shi mice, which is a type-1 diabetes murine model supplied by the Central Institute for Experimental Animals (CIEA).
This strain was introduced to CLEA Japan, Inc. from the CIEA in 2006, and the production and supply of these mice as NOD/ShiJic-scid Jcl mice was started in 2007.
